SEO Then and SEO Now
Search engine optimization (SEO) practices are what your website needs to get noticed online easily. Many businesses have thrived by the application of successful SEO marketing practices that helped to place them at the top of search engine results. If your business website appears at the top of search engine result pages (SERPs), valuable clicks can be converted into qualified leads and sales which will enhance your business profits. Best SEO strategies are what every online based business requires for growth, traffic generation, improved sales and profits.
However, just as many search engines have progressed over time so have result oriented search engine optimization (SEO) strategies advanced. Therefore, the SEO strategies that achieved wonderful results in the past may not necessarily achieve any meaningful result in the modern age we are living in. For example, SEO techniques in 2004 are much different than it is in 2011. Then, all keyword research practices done were more or less based on guess work. There were no free analytic tools available with which to get accurate results. Now, SEO strategies falls within internet marketing services while in the past it was meant to be achieved through website design and development strategies and yet high rankings in search engine results are still the major aim. Here are some differences between the SEO strategies then and the SEO techniques now:
Quality links matters now: The search engine optimization (SEO) techniques used in the past focused much on the existence of links connecting to a website from article directories and other similar services but now, emphasis focuses on the quality of such links. Search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Bing are concerned about the quality of websites that links in and not the mere existence of links as it used to be. So, a quality backlink from an educational or authoritative website, that is, one with URL edu.com or gov.com carries significance to search engines like Google than 10 other backlinks particularly from commercial websites. Your Destin SEO services understand this fact and should apply it in promoting your website to the millions of online web surfers.
SEO, mobile devices and broader spectrum: Smart phones have changed the world of internet marketing services and hence the application of mobile SEO techniques. Presently, mobile SEO accounts for about ten percent of the market which means you should be concerned about the effects of the percentage of mobile SEO market on your potential income and profits. Internet surfers using mobile devices to search the internet have grown considerably over the years and Google reported that it grew by about 5 times as much in the last few years alone. It is therefore reasonable to think you should be at the forefront of benefiting from this new mobile SEO internet marketing innovation to advance your income and profits when it matters most now. Besides, experts have claimed that mobile SEO is capable of making your online visitors spend more time on your website than users of personal computers and are more likely to achieve click through rate also.
Destin SEO Services – What Is Local Search Marketing?
Conservatively speaking, experts estimate that 30 to 40 percent (and growing) of all Google Search’s are by people looking for a local business. That is huge for businesses trying to attract qualified, credit card totting, motivated buyers to their website.
Although hard to define, let’s review what I think are the primary definitions for a local search.
Viewed together I hope this helps clarify a somewhat innocuous term. For some types of businesses all searches are local. Dry cleaners, copier dealers, home builders, plumbing, tow truck service, dentist, appliance repair and so forth. Also known as hyper-local enterprises, many businesses rely virtually 100% on attracting local traffic.
Another example is for businesses that are location-specific, but the people searching for them are located outside of the local area. Examples include vacation condo rental, cruise lines, dude ranch resorts, car rental agencies, golf courses and amusement parks.
And there are businesses wanting to attract people from inside and outside of their local area. Examples of these are financial advisors, consultants, regional hospitals, household movers, and mortgage companies.
How does Google handle local search? They are committed to bringing up the most relevant results from every inquiry. They try to interpret the local intent of the query and then deliver local search results that fit the bill. For example, if a person types “lawyer” and a city or neighborhood into a search box, he/she most likely wants to find someone locally.
Once the local intent is determined, Google will deliver local search results in a number of ways. Given the power of the “relevance” Google will provide what they determine are the best results and will display them in the local box at the top of the organic results:
Once Google thinks that the person is searching for a local business but isn’t completely sure which business is most relevant, it will show some of the local results at the top of the listings with phone numbers and links to more information at Google Maps. This “group of three” may appear in the middle of the page too.
When Google is positive that the searcher is looking for a business in a specific location, it will show a “group of 10” of the local results with phone numbers and direct links to Web sites. This generally shows up at the top of the organic results but may sometimes be found somewhere lower on the page:
Searchers may also go directly to Google Maps to search. When they do, Google Maps displays local business results and a map with pinpointed locations.
The last, but most obvious way that local search results are displayed are in the naturally ranked organic results. The businesses that are most well-optimized for a query will rank above the others here in the universal SERPs (definition). Local search results can appear in many different places and styles, but that doesn’t give you the whole picture, either.
Not all searches for local businesses take place at the search engines. For some people, offline search behavior carries over to the Web; they go directly to an Internet Yellow Pages site to look for local business information. Others have learned to use Web sites like craigslist, Insider Pages, Kudzu, and Merchant Circle to find data about local enterprises. Depending on the type of business, people may also search using a vertical, or topical directory. Researcher agree that these “secondary” search sites are no where near as popular.
In summary you will notice that local search is a combination of a number of variables. It is an attempt to handle the many ways in which a searcher may enter text and then deliver the most relevant information based on that inquiry.
The key then is to have your business positioned on Page #1 of Google, Yahoo and Bing (the predominant Search Engines). This is accomplished through Search Engine Optimization. Check out our No-obligation Questionnaire.
Is your business popping up on Google Page #1 or are you buried somewhere never to be found?
Grand Rapids Website Design – Is Your Website Leaking
You have a good plan, with a great product to sell and all ready to start your online business from Grand Rapids. The website design you have chosen looks great and you expect a decent response for your business. However, a couple of months and you realize that it’s not generating the kind of activity you are looking for. Whether your website aims at sharing information with your visitors or at selling products, the fact that internet users are looking for something specific, cannot be ignored.
Though you may have been successful in getting some steady traffic and even selling some of your products, considering the number of people using the internet every day, the statistics of your website may not look that good. So, where have you gone wrong? There are several answers to this question, from redundant content to incorrect way of promoting your products, it could be anything. If your website traffic statistics suggests that your visitors are not getting what they are looking for, it is suffering from what is popularly known as a website leak. However, there’s nothing to worry about as there are some simple yet powerful methods to fix this issue.
Fixing Brand and Positioning Leaks: It must be kept in mind that the aim of your website is to promote your business and spread it beyond Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids website design plays an important role in not only attracting visitors but also increasing the conversion rates. Right from ease of navigation to content or information displayed, a good website design is critical for the success of your online business.
Check your website from the point-of-view of your visitors. For instance, if you are selling acne treatment products, your website would get displayed for keywords such as ‘natural acne treatment’. But if the page link does not show the relevant information, your visitors are very likely to leave and move onto some other website, probably providing the exact information they are looking for. If this is the issue, entirely remove the page and simply add the content your visitors are expecting to see when they click on your website’s link. Though this would take some working on your part, the results are truly worth all the effort.
Fixing Visitor Engagement Leaks: Experts on website traffic and internet usage suggest that it takes a mere 10 seconds for a visitor to decide whether he would like to explore the website further. This is because when someone is looking for specific information and the page link shows something entirely different; your visitor is bound to hit the ‘Back’ button. This is often the case with websites having a splash page or a landing page, probably giving an introduction to the products or maybe the company. Though visitors usually skip the intro part and move to exploring the website, about 30% such internet users simply close the website and go on to the next one.
Keep your visitors’ mindset into perspective while analyzing this part of your website. The page most visited on your website, say the home page or the products page should have precisely the information your visitors are looking for. These pages should aim at engaging the visitors and urging them to explore further. For instance, if it’s a travel website, the home page would probably display flights to different locations in the world. To engage the visitors you can urge them to check out discounts or holiday package offers, and so on. For your specific business you can also consult some website experts in Grand Rapids. SEO services provided by such experts can be of great help in generating some good traffic as well as increasing conversion rates.
Fixing Outcome and Direction Leaks: You have done everything right, from informational, keyword-rich content to providing genuine products and yet do not see the desired results. This usually happens when your content is good but does not lead the reader anywhere. Every page of your website must have a call-to-action in some form, urging the visitors to stay connected for more. This may be in the form of getting them to sign up for newsletters or proposing some offers or discounts on your products. Make sure these are placed at convenient locations on the pages for the visitors to see.
Developing an online business takes effort as well as a smart approach towards making your website generate a good response from visitors. Apart from putting in your own strategy, it is a good idea to take help from experts in the field and develop a robust plan that works for your business.
Destin SEO Services – Follow the Online Trends
Getting a website designed and launched is a good way to start your online business from Destin SEO Services. SEO services are something that you would need to reach a wider range of customers. With technological advancements and people getting access to newer techniques of browsing the internet, keeping up with the latest trends has become quite challenging. The growth of social networking and media along with mobile technology and newer SEO techniques has made it increasingly difficult to keep your website updated at all times.
The best way to keep you up to date is to frequently check the latest trends in internet and mobile technology as well as SEO techniques. For instance, what are the latest keywords related to your website that people use to search for products or services you are offering? The answer to this question would definitely give you an insight into the visitors’ mindset and help you boost your website traffic. Here are some of the topmost online trends for the year 2011.
Search Engine Optimization: A term less known a few of years back has become the buzzword of internet marketing. Considering the way page-rank is evaluated by popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo, search engine optimization is something that a website simply cannot do without. SEO experts anticipate a surge in this technique, with more and more businesses looking to optimize their websites for the top page on search engines.
Google has recently incorporated its real-time keyword search technique, where all users have to do is begin typing the keywords and the search engine prompts with several related phrases. How this technique is going to benefit online businesses is yet to be seen. However, such tactics are sure to take SEO to a new level.
In any case, SEO experts suggest that both new start ups as well as pros should to stick to the basics of SEO, as usual. Even if the trends in SEO are likely to change, the basics of optimization still remain the same. For instance, a page stuffed with keywords and no relevant content will still be ignored by search engines. So, simply going with the trend is not going to help and you need to be smart about it. If you are looking to spread your business beyond Destin, SEO services can help you tap into this amazing feature of internet marketing.
Mobile Web: This is probably one of the most volatile technologies of the 21st century, with newer handheld devices coming in the market almost every week. The surge in the number of people owning smartphones and other such devices can be taken as an indicator on how big mobile web is going to be. It is predicted by experts that in 2011 those looking to replace their mobile handsets are more likely to go in for smartphones instead of conventional handsets. From Google Nexus One to iPhone and Nokia series, the list simply seems to go on.
Every handheld device today comes with facility to browse the internet as well as apps that allow you to shop online, check your emails and social networking accounts, and so on. Well, considering this if your website is not optimized to be viewed on a mobile device, you are bound to lose a substantial amount of traffic as well as potential customers.
Social Media: The next phenomenon that has taken the world by storm is social networking. The way it is influencing online businesses is something that even experts are looking to explain. FaceBook and Twitter together has more than 600 million users worldwide, and that’s a lot of web traffic which simply cannot be ignored. A new optimization technique that could actually take your business to a new level is connecting your website through these social networking sites.
The best way to do this is to contact SEO experts in Destin. SEO services are skilled at studying the market and analyzing the most practical way of optimizing your website for search engines. They would carefully go through your website and suggest ways of making changes, including how to utilize social networking to your benefit.

Submit Your Marketing Videos Automatically & Save Time
Why is the automating of video submissions important? The answer is in convenience. Video has become one of the most used and effective ways of getting your message out to your prospects. The problem is that there are simply too many video sites to submit your video to. It’s not just tht time it takes to find them, but it would take more time to get your video accepted by them all. Accounts need to be created at each of these websites and then send your video to each site once you have an account there. Not only can this be a tedious job, but it will eat up loads of your time that can be better spent elsewhere in your business.
To solve the problem we we luckily niw have some technology, rather than people. People can be unreliable, causing stress of all sorts. With the right software however, the problems are virtually eliminated. What video submission software does is create accounts all over the web on hundreds of video hosting sites, going so far as to organize all of the email verifications and such. The software then submits your video to each of these sites with just the push of a button.
This video submission software works from a single account that you create, and uses that formula on all of the video sites you select. This helps with cohesion and uniformity. Of course too much uniformity can looks dull and repetitive. To negate this, a special function allows you to create various video titles that are then randomly mixed and selected so that few videos end up with the same name and text. You are also able to create separate “company” profiles with different settings. So depending on what you want to accomplish you can have a customized setting available for different tasks.
Software such as VideoBot offer all of these features plus many more. It is conveniently accessed right from your desktop whenever you need it. Once set up it will only take a couple clicks of the mouse to get your video uploaded all across the internet. This software includes free updates for life and is available for just one small payment.
You’ll appreciate then how this VideoBot software will save you tons of time and money. It will allow you the freedom to be able to spend your time in the other areas of your business that need it the most. If you are not using video marketing yet in your business then you are behind the curve and losing out. If you are using it you owe it to yourself, and your business, to invest in top quality video submission software.

How to Make a Living From Selling Domains
Buying low and selling high is one of the best methods for making money on or offline. This is how just about every business makes its money. Even grocery stores make money using this basic premise. If a grocery store is able to do it, why can’t you?
Flipping domain names is a great way to earn extra online money. It is a simple basic premise. Buy a domain name and then sell it to someone who wants it for a profit. Quite naturally, this process has more worked involved than you might think. These are some of the best ways that you can increase your profits from domain name flipping.
Never work harder, always work smarter. If you haven’t been earning any money by what you’ve been doing, you might want to try something else. If the methods you’re using aren’t working, try using other ones. Try to save time while still putting domain names out there. Modeling your business after someone’s who has already achieved power seller status is the best way to learn how to become a power seller yourself. Learn from their mistakes and try not to repeat them as you emulate what they have done correctly. Soon, you’ll find what works for you.
You’ll want to create a listing description that’s very strong. The better your listing description is, the higher the chances that you’ll sell your domain name. You’ll want to include more than just a price if you want your listing to be good. Include any appraisal values you’ve been given. You could also list any traffic metrics or advertising revenue it has been bringing in (if it is attached to a website). You can also write a short description regarding the best types of sites that might go with that domain name. For instance, if you have a name like carparts dot whatever, it’s not going to do well on a beauty website.
Use a tool like the unique article wizard to write articles about your domain business and fire them out to thousands of directories to get hundreds of hungry beying visitors to your site.
Always provide the very best in customer service. There is more to building a domain flipping business than simply buying domain names and listing them on auction sites. You’ll want to follow up with the people who buy the domains you’re selling. Find out why they bought the names that they did and what they used them for. You’ll want to learn as much as possible about your clients and customers. That way, you can create a list of people to sell future domain names and products to. Make sure your clients are satisfied about the domains they’ve bought from you. Finding out anything else you can do for them is also a good idea.
To build a successful business, good customer service is essential. Domain selling is a legitimate way to generate extra cash online. Some even manage to turn domain name flipping into a full time and legitimate business. Other people keep it as a pastime. The amount of time and effort you dedicate to this online earning venture is completely up to you. If you only wish to make a little supplemental money, then that’s fine. On the other hand, if you want to turn it into your main business, that is fully possible as well!

Common SEO Errors You Shouldn’t Make
Whether you have a website or some other online business venture, your goals are the same and that’s to have specific traffic. You need to get your site optimized for the search engines if this is your aim. If you are good at your SEO, you will find that you not only get the traffic you want but your conversion rate will increase, too. But, if you have never done SEO before, it’s important that you read a few mistakes that can really hurt you if you’re not careful.
You want to be favored by the search engines, not penalized by them. This is why it’s always important to keep in mind what you shouldn’t do, so that you don’t end up in a soup. In this article we’ll be discussing about various search engine mistakes that you should avoid if you want to get quality visitors hitting your site.
A new course is causing quite a buzz in the Internet Marketing community and you can find more information about this on the affluence showcase.
The main mistake beginning webmasters make is attempting SEO with keywords that aren’t narrowed down. It’s true that keywords are a crucial aspect of search engine optimization, but if you just use a bunch of them the search engines may give you penalties as they will consider your site spam. You’ll lose your ranking due to the over abundance of the keywords on your site, which means you’ll lose the traffic too. Your traffic will become displeased as they’re more interested in information they can read and that offers something they can use.
If you do use images, make sure they all have ALT tags. ALT tags will tell someone what the picture is while it’s still loading.
But, ALT Tags used with your images can also put you in better favor with the search engines. People mostly forget about this when it comes to search engine optimization. Therefore, you’ll want to create your ALT tags with your keywords in them so that you can describe what your site is about to both readers and the searches.
A new course is causing quite a buzz in the Internet Marketing community and you can find more information about this on the affluence showcase.
Just remember that ethics is something you always want to use with SEO. There are lots of companies that offer SEO services. If you find a company that’s ethical, work with them, but some companies don’t have that kind of ethic and they’ll do anything to get ranked. The search engines could ban your site and you wouldn’t even realize it until later. So if you are looking out to hire someone for your SEO job, then go for a consultant that has a good reputation and keeps you updated with regular progress reports. The more they reveal to you the better they’ll be. Therefore, always use good ethics when conducting your SEO practices. The webmasters use such techniques really don’t know how they’re damaging their sites by using such methods. Never needlessly include lots of keywords on your site as search engines will think you’re spamming. It’s also important never to use content you’ve copied from other sites or else you will lose traffic and the search engines will drop you in the ranks. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to do it yourself or you’re going to hire someone to do your SEO for you, only use the most ethical SEO methods.

Destin Online Advertising: Dominate Your Market on the Search Engines
The companies you see on page #1 of the major Search Engines did not get there by accident. Many were able to “jump ahead” of their most ardent competitors even in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds.
The Internet has become the primary resource for both buyers and sellers. Unlike conventional marketing media such as the yellow pages, newspapers, magazines, mass e-mail campaigns, radio and television the Internet instantaneously connects a visitor to products, services and information. Conventional media marketing reminds me of closing ones eyes and firing a “shot gun into the air” hoping to hit the barn. Web site optimization enables you zero in on a gigantic barn eyes wide open.
While not all visitors are immediate buyers just getting them to your site where you can WOW them with information is a major first step. For those ready to buy a properly designed and optimized site makes their buying experience easy and profitable for you.
This paper has been written for business owners and managers. We have condensed what we learned about Search Engine Optimization first hand as we built SEM Masters . We speak from experience, the school of hard knocks.
We launched into the SEO business after we successfully moved our sister company, Vircosoft, from Internet obscurity to consistent ranking on Page #1 on Google often higher than our toughest competitors. Today we are focusing on web site optimization rather that Pay-Per-Click (PPC) again because of our experience. We found PPC less effective and too expensive. Additionally, once we stopped our test PPC program we faded away into Internet obscurity, again. For us, as we zeroed in on optimization we rapidly climbed back through the ranking and now find Vircosoft consistently on page #1 of Google. We strengthen our position every day.
Before we get started there are several key terms you need to fully understand beginning with the basics of web page optimization. What you put on-page (on your web site) can substantially affect the click-through-rate (CTR). High CTR results in a greater opportunity to increase your conversion rate. People convert, you earn more money.
Keyword Selection: Getting Started
What you think is the best keyword or keyword phrase for your business may in fact not even come close to what others think. We see it too often. There are excellent free tools (some cost but usually provide even more information) including Google Adwords: Keyword Tool. Once you have tested and selected your best keywords and feeling pretty good about yourself I might add be prepared to find some of your competitors already using them and way ahead of you.
Vircosoft needed more exposure. What did we do? We got creative. We did our homework. Check this out. Google these three keyword phrases we identified for Vircosoft as potentially viable:
Open Source Document Indexing Software
Open Source Document Capture Software
Open Source Document Imaging Software
We moved Vircosoft from obscurity to page #1 on Google, consistently, in about 3 weeks. Our CTR and Conversion rate escalated fast and continues today. We are living proof that SEO works, IF you know what you are doing or hire someone with real experience and dedication.
Another example: Click on Destin Online Advertising. In less than two weeks we dominated Page #1 on Google and our SEM Masters business started to grow faster. There are no shortcuts, tricks or sleight of hand in SEO. Mostly it is grunt work, literally.
On-page Optimization
How you manage the information on your web pages can either help or hinder your ranking on the Search Engines. While on-page optimization represents only about 20% of the total for building high ranking it is part of the whole and important. We will talk about off-page optimization a bit later in their post.
Some of the most important on-page optimization techniques commence with selecting a key word to optimize your web page. There are numerous free tools obtainable on the Internet that can help you uncover a keyword that is prevalent but not overly competitive. Keywords that are greatly competitive are regularly very tough to place well on the search engines.
No matter which keyword tool you select assure that it will give you with an accurate count of how many times the keyword or keyword phrase is searched on every month. Keywords or phrases receiving a low search count should be eliminated to minimize wasted time. However if the keyword or keyword phrase is used many times it may be a great candidate for optimizing. KEI represents the ratio of keyword searches to the number of websites using the same keyword. You goal is to find the keyword or keyword phrases that are popular but have a minimal number of sites competing. Look online and you will find tools, many are free, to help you with keyword and keyword phrase suggestions.
After you have selected your keywords and keyword phrases it is time to get started. As you work your way through this paper Google terms that are unfamiliar to continue your education. Over the next several weeks you can gain a lot of expertise. Whether you choose to run your own SEO Program or retain a Professional is up to you. In my experience good business people like to have an understanding about what will be done to their site, but are simply too busy managing their business to take on the arduous grunt hours to maintain a powerful and competitive web site.
Don’t optimize for a single keyword, optimize for a keyword phrase. When you optimize for a single keyword, more often than not, that word is highly competitive and your chances of coming out on top are minimal. Where you gain a significant advantage is by focusing on a keyword phrase. This actually increases your chances of ranking well and helps you towards ranking well for the single word you originally chose as your ideal keyword.
Placement of your keyword(s) is very important. If possible, on your web page, position within the first 25 words of text as well as the last 25 words of text. This helps validate the value and importance of your keywords to the Search Engines. Sprinkle your keyword(s) throughout web page, but do not saturate. Another tip: bold once, italic once, underline once. I recommend that you position an h1 tag close to the top of your web page. An <h1> tag, also known as a headline tag, is the code you use to display your headline in large type. This is one of the most important steps to enhance your search engine results. Try adding a number of sub-headings using an <h2> and/or <h3> tag. These are smaller than an h1, but still important as the search engines evaluate your site.
Be sure to place your keyword phrase in your Meta tags (the HTML code that appears at the beginning of your web page) – specifically your page title and description. Try to repeat your keyword phrase twice in your description tag. Robot tags help the search engines recognize that they need to crawl your entire website. There are other practices that will increase search capability including sitemap and on-page linking.
Off-page Optimization
Search Engine Optimization is defined as “external” work prepared for your web site. This includes link building, press releases, article writing , article submission, directory submission and link-building.
The most effective way to identify the “right” sites to get links from should be based on who is linking to your competition. Better yet, you should be evaluating who links to the #1 search result in Google for the keywords or keyword phrases you’re optimizing for. Using this strategy you should be able to start moving up the ranking quickly. We use a variety of tools to help us quickly locate the site of most value. Without taking time here to list products go to Google and search. We tested a lot of tools before purchasing anything. Many offer a trial period. Try before you buy!
Article writing is powerful and extremely effective. If you like to write start selecting topics you think others will find interesting and useful. Do not create articles with little value but lots of text. The Search Engines want relevance and quality. Because this is a very prominent part of SEO be prepared to spend a lot of time writing and submitting.
Very often people are not just looking for a product or service. They are searching for information about a product or service. Rather than simply presenting the superiority of what you are selling you can attract visitors to your site by offering valuable information about a subject. Over time you can actually become the recognized “expert” in a chosen field.
Article marketing is the routine of writing articles concerning your area of expertise and disseminating these articles to information seeking websites. The value of this tactic is the addition of an “About the Author” section at the bottom of your article that also includes a link to your website. Again, search the web for Article Submission software that will distribute your articles automatically to hundreds of article directories, site and feeds.
Link text should include the keyword or keyword phrase being optimized. Let’s say you are marketing your “document management software”. You know that this is a hugely competitive keyword phrase. In order to increase the probability that you will get recognized, the code to links to others would look like this: <a href=”http://www.someonessitebusiness.com” target=”_blank”>open source document imaging software</a>.
Conclusion:
Patience and perseverance is required to build your way to the top of the Search Engines. Your web site needs consistent tweaking. Keep the articles, Backlinks, Blog posts and other social media coming. Fresh and relevant should become your action words. Weigh the value of your time to build a powerful top ranking web site to the value of retaining an SEP professional. Either way view this as a journey, not as a destination. We look forward to seeing you at the top.
